What it does
No app store required
Members install it from your own site in their browser and it updates when we deploy. No per-church build, no listing to maintain, no binary to approve. It works on the phone people already have.
Chat follows the roster
Group conversations are derived live from group membership: leave the group and lose the chat, the same moment, with nobody remembering to remove anyone. Direct messages never expose a phone number or an email address.
A prayer feed, not a second inbox
Requests scoped to the groups a member is in, an “I prayed” response, and only the person who asked can say how it turned out. A request is a message, so moderation and privacy rules apply to it unchanged.
The church announcement channel
Staff post once to everyone. Members read it in the same app as their groups, without another tool, another login or another notification source.
Notifications, honestly
An in-app notification centre is the durable record. Web push where the browser allows it, an email digest as the fallback, timezone-aware quiet hours, and a daily push budget a member sets. Delivery is never promised, so nothing pretends.
Safety no plan can switch off
Reports go to your staff, blocks are private to the person who set them, a group leader can remove a message, and a custody restriction between two people stops direct messages on every send. Every refusal looks the same, so nobody learns why.
Join codes onto an approval queue
A member can join from a roster invitation or a church join code, and a code opens onto a queue, never straight into the directory. Staff approve each person before they appear.
A closer look

The short answers.
Do members need to download anything from an app store?
No. The member app installs from your church’s own website in the browser, on iPhone and Android, and updates automatically. There is no app store listing, because none is required.
Who can message whom?
Group chat follows your roster: a member is in the conversations of the groups they belong to, and leaves them the moment they leave the group. Direct messages are between adults in the same church, never expose a phone number or email address, and every refusal, whether a block, a suspension or a custody restriction, looks identical to the sender.
Can children and youth use it?
Not yet. The member app is for adults, 18 and over, and that is enforced at invitation, at acceptance, at onboarding and in the chat rules themselves. Youth access is a later, separate step with its own safeguarding design.
How do notifications work?
Every notification lands in the in-app centre first. Web push is offered where the browser supports it, an email digest covers anyone unreachable or who prefers it, and each member sets quiet hours and a daily push budget. Nothing promises instant delivery.
Is the member app included in the free plan?
Yes. The member app with group chat is included in every plan, free for your first 25 members. During early access every church gets every feature free.
What else is in the app?
Home with what needs the member this week, sermons, events, their serving schedule and blockout dates, their profile and privacy controls, and a giving card that opens your existing giving page. Nothing is fabricated: every card points at something your church has published.
